Taiwanese actor Tu Hy Vien sued Wang Xiaofei, asking him to pay the post-divorce allowance.
Follow Mirrormedia November 21, beauty Meteor Garden filed an application to a court in Taiwan, accusing her ex-husband – Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei – of violating the divorce agreement. In the lawsuit, she stated that since March, she has not received an allowance from Uong Tieu Phi, asking him to pay NT$5 million (about VND 4 billion). Tu Xiyuan asked the court to seal up Wang Xiaofei’s assets in Taiwan.
On his personal page, Uong Tieu Phi wrote that he “did not regret anything with his children”. Since the divorce, the businessman has fully provided for his children. He also paid for the rent of a maid and a driver for Tu Hy Vien’s family. But since the actor left, Uong Tieu Phi does not want to pay some expenses for his ex-wife. The businessman wrote: “Now that she is married, as a man, I do not want to continue to pay the electricity bill for their house.” He did not say specifically how much he wanted to cut the allowance for his ex-wife.
Uong Tieu Phi also blamed Tu Hy Vien for preventing him from seeing his children because in the divorce agreement, the two shared the responsibility of raising two children.
Hy Vien and Tieu Phi announced their divorce in November 2021, after 10 years of marriage. They reached a property division agreement, whereby the apartment worth NT$400 million (VND 318 billion) was owned by Tu Hy Vien. Wang Xiaofei has a number of assets including real estate and bank deposits in Taiwan.
